Automated Certificate of Mailing User Guide

From the USPS: A Certificate of Mailing (COM) may be presented only at the time of mailing and provide evidence that individual mailpieces have been presented to the USPS for mailing.

The Certificate of Mailing automated process was developed due to industry’s request for USPS to offer streamlined solutions for manual processes. The COM automated solution saves clerk and customer hours, while meeting current COM users’ compliance needs. This solution (also known as the COM electronic submission) provides several benefits.
