MCS ACQUIRES KIRK-RUDY

Think Ink, a sister company of MCS, has acquired Kirk-Rudy, which will now operate as KR Engineering. This acquisition aims to enhance the capabilities and offerings in print and mail, packaging, and RFID equipment. KR Engineering will operate from Kirk-Rudy’s existing facility in Woodstock, Georgia.

Management: David Loos, president of Think Ink, will oversee the transition and focus on maintaining customer and dealer relationships.

MCS and Kirk-Rudy were competitors from the 1980’s to the present, serving a bustling mail ink jet printing industry. Declining use of mail in recent years has trimmed demand.
