Certificate of Mailing Automation
Posted on February 14, 2024 by mailomg in Memo 704 // 0 Comments
Effective January 2024, as part of the Postal Service price change, customers also have the opportunity to adopt an automated method for using Certificate of Mailing.
Related: EZ-Confirm™ Certified Mail Solution
The Postal Service has implemented an automated form for extra services that can be used as an alternative to the current forms detailed here:
•Bulk Certificate of Mailing (Form 3606-D)
•3665 (Certificate of Mailing)
•3877 (Firm Book for Accountable Mail)
The Postal Service encourages customers to adopt this automated solution, since it will reduce the administrative time for handling Certificate of Mailing, enhance security, and increase visibility.
Eligible customers are those sending more than 50 pieces through the BMEU.
There is no impact to the Retail channel.
