Mail Helps People Feel Connected During Pandemic

The USPS reports that mail is helping citizens cope with lockdown orders and social distancing requirements.

A USPS research study conducted in April found:

— Consumers are feeling increasingly isolated and distant from people.
— Sixty-five percent of people agree that receiving mail lifts their spirits.
— Respondents feel they can feel more connected to people through the mail (54%)
— Two-thirds have/would send mail, with family and friends the most common recipients.
— The majority (65%) want to support USPS during this time.
