PMG-Trump “Secret Meetings” To Be Investigated

WASHINGTON, DC — The incoming House intelligence committee chairman Adam Schiff said the new Democrat Majority in the House will spearhead an investigation into “secret meetings” between President Trump and U.S. Postmaster General Megan Brennan, according to statements Schiff made on Axios on HBO.

That can mean one thing: the PMG will be in the hot seat on Capitol Hill, forced to answer questions about her relationship with President Trump.

Schiff accused President Trump of “secretly meeting with the Postmaster [General] in an effort to browbeat the Postmaster [General] into raising rates on Amazon.”

“This appears to be an effort by the president to use the instruments of state power to punish Jeff Bezos and the Washington Post,” Schiff said … (click to read more).

Amazon faces a 5% hit on its retail business bottom line following PRC approval of 2019 shipping rates, according to a Barclays estimate. Earlier in the year President Trump decried the rates Amazon pays, calling the USPS “Amazon’s delivery boy” and urging price hikes. Six months later, Amazon and all ecommerce shippers face the largest postal rate hike in history.
