Postal Reform Bill Introduced In House

An updated Postal Reform Act of 2018 was introduced into the U.S. House of Representatives June 15, a mirror bill of the Postal Reform Act of 2017.
The only difference between the bills: a new provision that Members of Congress would be notified at least 10 days in advance of a postal facility closure or service reduction.
The bipartisan bill was introduced by Reps. Steve Russell (R-OK), Dennis Ross (R-FL), Gerry Connolly (D-VA), Elijah Cummings (D-MD), and Stephen Lynch (D-MA).
The bill’s timing is important, meant as a congressional offering to the current Task Force on the Postal Service ordered by President Trump.
