Quad Graphics To Close Waseca Plant, Former HQ of Brown Printing

Quad Graphics is closing its Waseca Plant which is the former headquarters of Brown Printing Co., which it acquired in 2014. Over 300 employees will lose their job by the end of the year. The Waseca plant employed over 700 employees before the sale to Quad. This is the second Brown plant to be shuttered; the St. Cloud plant was closed in 2014.

“The decision is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its competitive position and overall value to clients by producing work where it can achieve the greatest manufacturing and distribution efficiencies and in no way reflects the quality and performance of employees in the plant,” stated Claire Ho … (click to read more)
