New Automated Card Pack Production System

ANAHEIM, CA – Rollem International has unveiled Cardistry, a next-generation automated platform engineered for high-volume playing card, trading card and collectible card production. The system integrates slitting, cutting, collating and boxing into a single inline workflow, eliminating traditional multi-stage handling and significantly reducing labor dependency.
Two Configurations for Scalable Output
Cardistry is available in two models: the SL (Single Line) system, capable of processing up to 1,800 sheets per hour, and the DL (Double Line) configuration, featuring dual cutting and collating sections delivering up to 3,200 sheets per hour. The inline two-directional capability enables production of up to 60 finished packs per minute, with operation by a single person.
Integrated Automation and Verification
Servo-driven automation ensures precise card collection and guaranteed sequencing. Double-sided jogging system minimizes waste to 0.75mm while maintaining stacking ac curacy. The Pack Sorting Unit verifies both quantity and sequence before transferring approved decks to optional wrapping or cartoning equipment, automatically rejecting non-conforming packs.
In-Line Boxing Unit
Further automation is accomplished with Cardistry’s in-line boxing unit. Completed sets of cards are inserted directly on to the flat box, which is then folded and glued, delivering a finished product at record speeds. Options include a system to insert decks into sleeve packs.
“The card and collectibles market is evolving rapidly, driven by surging demand and higher expectations around pack accuracy and presentation. Cardistry was developed in direct response to those market pressures,” said Larry Corwin, President, Rollem International. “By combining slitting, collating, verification, and packaging integration within a single automated platform, we’re enabling producers to eliminate redundant handling, reduce labor dependency and achieve verifiable pack quality at scale.”
