To support the Postal Service’s network modernization plan in Tennessee and across the nation, the Memphis, TN Regional Processing and Distribution Center (RPDC) will expand operations on May 30, 2026. Originating package volume previously processed at the Little Rock, AR Parcel Support Annex
(PSA), NASS code 720FZ, will now be processed at the Memphis, TN Regional Processing and Distribution Center (RPDC), NASS code 381RP.

The modernization and expansion of operations at the Memphis RPDC will streamline the launch of volume to the network and support package growth while ensuring reliable, affordable, secure, and universal mail delivery.

The process of updating and modernizing this facility has come through incremental changes, each of which is a step to the future network design.

— 2025: New RPDC building opened and initial, inter-region volume activated before peak April 17, 2026 & May 1, 2026: New package sorting equipment installed

— May 16, 2026: Originating packages moved from Memphis Mail Processing Annex

–May 30, 2026: Originating packages moving from Little Rock Package Support Annex

There are no impacts to existing customer origin entry, and all future FAST appointments and origin entry volume will be at the RPDC (below).

Tampa, FL Regional Processing & Distribution Center(RPDC) Modernizes Operations on May 25, 2026

To support the Postal Service’s network modernization plan in Florida and across the nation, the Tampa, FL Regional Processing and Distribution Center (RPDC), previously named the Ybor City, FL Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC), will modernize operations on May 25, 2026.

The facility has been outfitted with new, upgraded package processing equipment that will increase package sorting throughputs, increase automation capabilities for larger packages, increase sortation accuracy, and improve machine reliability. This regional processing and distribution center will enable our network to support package growth while ensuring reliable, affordable, secure, and universal mail delivery.

All FAST appointments and origin entry volume will be at the RPDC (below).
