Postal Service To Launch Fifteen New SDCs in September

WASHINGTON, DC—The Postal Service will launch fifteen new sorting and delivery centers (SDC) around the nation on September 7, 2024.
Commercial customers should drop their flat bundles or packages for drop shipment at the SDC serving the respective destinating ZIP Codes.
Seven of these SDCs will open with multiple 5-Digit ZIP Codes being moved into them. Eight SDCs willopen without additiona6 l5-Digit ZIP Codes moving into them. Two existing SDCs will expand with additional 5-Digit ZIP Codesand one additional previously activated SDC will become fully operational without additional 5-Digit ZIP Codes moving into it.
The schedules for the new SDCs launches are listed below with the ZIP Codes they will serve:


The opening of the new S&DCs will not impose Post Office closures or cause customers to experience changes to the local Post Office retail and PO Box delivery services.
