USPS Updated Labels & Forms

On January 22, 2023, the US Postal Service eliminated 41 legacy service type codes (STCs) that did not follow the Postal Service’s current Intelligent Mail package barcode (IMpb) format. As part of the legacy STC elimination, the following legacy label and forms have been updated with IMpb format barcodes and have been removed from external customer access:
• Label 400, USPS Tracking®
• PS Form 153, Signature Confirmation™ Receipt
• PS Form 3813, Insured Mail Receipt $500 and Under
• PS Form 3813-P, Insured Mail Receipt Over $500
As of March 17, 2023, PS Form 3800, Certified Mail® Receipt was updated to include an IMpb format barcode and
is the only form available in retail offices and for customers to order on The Postal Store®.
A few important things to note:
• Metered customers should contact their postage meter provider to obtain the IMpb formatted versions of these labels. A list of available labels include:
