Winning the battle against illicit drugs in the mail is a top priority for the U.S. Postal Service and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. They work aggressively to prevent the flow of illicit drugs through the mail and takes all practical measures to ensure the safety and security of Postal Service employees and the American people.

As the law enforcement arm of the Postal Service, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service (Postal Inspection Service) leads efforts to eliminate opioids and other illicit drugs from the mail by investigating mail-related crime and working closely with other law enforcement agencies to share intelligence, coordinate cases, and conduct joint enforcement operations.
