The 2017 PCC of the Year Large Market Award was awarded to the Greater Charlotte PCC. The Greater Charlotte PCC was recognized for using best practices to communicate and engage members through engaging events, educational seminars, and their PCC website.

The PCC used local postmasters and current PCC members to recruit new PCC members. The PCC also hosted the Cap Metro Area Focus Group meeting in May 2016.
