Judy de Torok Retires

WASHINGTON, DC — Judy de Torok, Vice President of Corporate Affairs has announced her retirement effective May 16. Over the last few years, Judy has reported directly to the Postmaster General and has been integral to communicating the progress and success of the Delivering for America plan to industry stakeholders. She is pictured above in Lexington, MA at the Battlefields of the American Revolution stamp dedication.

Judy began her career with the United States Postal Service in 1995 and has held a series of progressively complex field and Headquarters positions in Government Relations, Corporate Communications and Marketing.

She has also assisted senior postal leadership on communications activities, including serving as the chief of staff to the Deputy Postmaster General’s office. In May 2021, Judy was named Vice President, Corporate Affairs, where she reported directly to the Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer. In this position, she has been responsible for leading stakeholder engagement strategies in support of the Delivering for America plan.

She had responsibilities for the offices of Industry Engagement and Outreach, Environmental Affairs and Corporate Sustainability, Continuity and Preparedness, the Historian and Corporate Information Services, and the Judicial Office.

Judy and her team are responsible for key customer-focused programs, including the National Postal Forum, Postal Customer Councils and the Postmaster General’s Mailers Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC).She also held leadership positions within the Postal Customer Council Advisory Committee and MTAC.

Additionally, Judy oversaw International Postal Affairs until fall 2024. In August, Judy began assisting the Postmaster General with the Election and Government Mail Services team in the recent National election. After the election, she led a special taskforce on enhancing the Postal Service’s public responsiveness. Before joining the Postal Service, Judy worked as a journalist for several daily and weekly newspapers, served as an advertising agency account executive and vice president for a public relations agency, and managed community relations for one of the nation’s largest community colleges.

She has received numerous awards and recognition for her work in communications, customer service and executive leadership. Most recently, she was awarded the prestigious Postmaster General Award in April of 2025. She spoke at MAILCOM in March.
