Postage Meters: IMI Compliance and What You Need to Know

Upcoming Seminar At MAILCOM 2023: Intelligent Mail Indicia (IMI) was introduced in 2015 to ensure that postal service receives frequent postage use information to better manage mail flow. The USPS is decertifying all Information Based Indicia (IBI) postage meters by June 30, 2024. The new devices must be Intelligent Mail Indicia (IMI) compliant.

This session will discuss current IBI devices that cannot be retrofitted and will need to be replaced with alternative solutions. Future devices will need to be constantly connected to the internet vs. only at the time of refill.
