SnailWorks Acquired By Beacon Software

From Dave Lewis, Founder, Snailworks: As you most likely know, SnailWorks was recently acquired by Beacon Software. When a company is acquired, it is a two-way evaluation. Of course, the buyer needs to believe that the company they are buying is a good one. On the other hand, the company being bought needs to make sure that the buyers are the right ones. We were looking for a buyer who would be:

Good for our brand
Good for our employees
Good for our customers.

Our customers have placed a lot of trust in us, and it is important that we continue to earn that trust, regardless of who the owners are.

One attribute of Beacon that stood out to us is its business model of buying and holding forever. They are not a private equity firm that buys and flips businesses. Instead, they choose industry leaders in different market verticals and aim to preserve and help build those companies.

For our customers, this means that nothing changes. All our employees will stay in their positions. I will still lead the company, and our IT, operations, and sales teams will all remain the same. If we didn’t tell you there were new owners, it would be impossible to tell. Send payments as you always have (and thank you for that!) We’re still SnailWorks.

Beacon brings with them a tremendous amount of development and marketing skills. They will help us make our system even better over time, with appropriate uses of AI and other advanced tools.

If you are a customer, relax. It’s all still good. If you’re not a customer yet (sigh), this is an interesting time to take a look. A lot of cool stuff lies right around the corner.

Of course, if you have questions or concerns, you can always reach out to me or any member of the SnailWorks team. I think you’re going to like where we’re headed.
