REVIEW OF POSTAGE RATE HIKES IN 2025-2027

Reminder: Some postage rates will change on January 19, 2025 and some in July 2025 (but not announced yet). Additionally, the USPS says it expects to “change prices for all Market Dominant classes in both January and July” of 2026 and 2027.

Here are the details:

NO FIRST-CLASS OR MARKETING MAIL INCREASE IN JANUARY

There will be no postage increase in January 2025 for Market Dominant products, which includes First-Class Mail and Marketing Mail. Tthe price of a stamp to mail a 1-once single-piece First-Class letter will not increase. A rate hike is expected in July 2025. Click for more info.

SHIPPING RATES GO UP JANUARY 19, 2025

Shipping Services prices increase approximately 3.2 percent for Priority Mail service and Priority Mail Express service, 3.9 percent for USPS Ground Advantage and 9.2 percent for Parcel Select. Click for more info.

USPS HOLIDAY RATE SURCHARGES END JANUARY 19, 2025

The peak-season pricing on Priority Mail Express (PME), Priority Mail (PM) and USPS Ground Advantage went into effect Oct. 6 and remain in place until midnight Central on Jan. 19, 2025. Click for more info.

Domestic Extra Services Price Hikes January 19

Extra Services price changes will take effect January 19, 2025. The proposed adjustments were approved by the Governors of the USPS. Click for more info.
