Industry Leader Mike Coyne Dies; Led Verizon Bill Print Operations

Michael Coyne, who spent 37 years with GTE and later at Verizon as Director of Bill Print, Distribution and Remittance Processing, died June 12.
He was 56 years old.
Known as an exceptional leader, Mike treated employees like family and motivated them to excellence in running one of the largest print/mail/remittance operations in the country. Verizon processes more than 15 million payments each month from both its landline and wireless customers using remittance processing centers in two locations.
Among his most recent accomplishments at Verizon was automating remittance processing operations (click for story).
During his industry career Michael served on various local and national boards including the Pitney Bowes Advisory Board and the National Postal Policy Council.
The father of three sons and a new grandfather, Mike and his wife Lisa were married for nearly 34 years.
