Pitney Bowes Acquires ProSORT

Pitney Bowes Inc. has acquired the assets of ProSORT, a Microdynamics company and mailing solutions provider in Naperville, IL and will combine its operation in Des Plaines, IL into the newer and larger Naperville facility.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ProSORT Services is one of the nation’s largest independent presorting companies, with a daily mail capacity of 1.5 million pieces of mail daily. Parent company Microdynamics will continue its mail printing and processing operations.

Pitney Bowes is the industry’s largest presorter, processing more than 15 billion pieces of mail annually.

“As we expand our national network and grow mail volumes, we’re also expanding the services we provide,” said Pfeiffer. “For example, we’re helping our direct mail clients derive more value from their physical mail pieces by optimizing their messages and offerings for digital channels. And in select markets, we are beginning to offer parcel mailing solutions based on our years of innovation and expertise in mail sortation.”
